Sangrand Dates – A Month-by-Month Guide

Here’s a look at each Sangrand in 2025, its corresponding Desi month, and the spiritual theme often associated with it:

January 14 – Maagh (Tuesday)

As the new year begins, this Sangrand invites Sikhs to reset spiritually — to refocus on Guru’s teachings and embrace fresh intentions despite the winter chill.

February 12 – Phagan (Wednesday)

With spring on the horizon, Phagan Sangrand brings renewed hope. It’s a time of togetherness and preparing the heart for new beginnings.

March 14 – Chet (Friday)

Chet truly feels like a fresh start. Nature awakens, and so does the spirit. It’s the perfect moment for inner growth and spiritual planting.

April 13 – Vaisakh (Sunday)

This Sangrand is extra special, often coinciding with Vaisakhi — a major celebration of the Khalsa’s formation. Gratitude and renewed commitment flow strongly in this month.

May 14 – Jeth (Wednesday)

As the heat begins to build, Jeth reminds Sikhs of the importance of seva — selfless service. It’s a call to help others with open hearts.

June 15 – Harh (Sunday)

Harh can be testing with its intense heat, but it teaches endurance and faith. This Sangrand encourages inner strength and resilience.

July 16 – Sawan (Wednesday)

Sawan’s rains refresh the earth — and the soul. It’s a time for peace, introspection, and reconnecting with one’s spiritual core.

August 16 – Bhadon (Saturday)

Bhadon Sangrand turns focus inward. It calls for clearing the mind, purifying intentions, and staying grounded in the face of daily distractions.

September 16 – Assu (Tuesday)

As the year transitions into autumn, Assu is all about balance. It’s a moment to check in — spiritually and emotionally — and realign with the Divine.

October 17 – Kattak (Friday)

With leaves falling, Kattak whispers a lesson: everything changes. But faith remains. This Sangrand inspires acts of goodness and staying spiritually centered.

November 16 – Maghar (Sunday)

As daylight fades earlier, Maghar becomes a beacon. It urges Sikhs to find that inner light and stay connected to the teachings of the Guru.

December 15 – Poh (Monday)

The year ends with Poh Sangrand — a powerful time to reflect on what was, and to walk into the new year with hope, remembrance, and spiritual warmth.

Why Sangrand Still Matters Today

More than just a date on the calendar, Sangrand is a chance to pause and reflect. It encourages Sikhs to reconnect with the Guru’s words, especially the deep spiritual wisdom found in the Baramaha. Every month is an opportunity — to reset, to grow, and to come closer to the Divine. In a busy world, Sangrand is that gentle reminder: slow down, look within, and stay aligned with your soul’s true path.
